Assuming these images are straight out of the camera without sharpening applied they looks fine. Was the AF speed acceptable too on the 300/2.8?

What I'd like to see are the results from a 600/4 and 500/4 plus 2x III combo ...

Feather detail is quite good where the focus was. Looks like it's better than the older model which is really soft with 500/4 ...
