Thought some of you what to know ...

The list price for 600/4 VR and 500/4 VR are HK$75,000- and 63,000- respectively according to Nikon (HK). Both lenses have not hit the street yet but would be anytime soon. Only the 400/2.8 VR is with dealers now.

心裏對 Vibration Reduction 這設置於拍鳥的作用仍存有疑問，曾以手持 afs328/2.8VR 開動 VR 拍攝止物體，在1/30s 仍有不錯的成像，但拍走動的鳥時則未如理想。
600/4 VR 及 500/4 VR 與 600/4 II 及 500/4 II 約是HK$20,000的價差，假設 VR 版的解像力較 afs II 版好，但若VR對拍鳥的幫助不大，而價差只可換來較好一點兒的成像，那麼是否物有所值，則見仁見智，正等待機會解開這疑團~~~

这个VR可以在脚架上用，应该还是有用的。。。

試過 428 VR vs 428II ,  PQ look same .
but VR sure help 428 on monopad

我覺得多左1 層納米結晶塗層有好大分別...在任可光線下表現比上一代都理想....

Frankie 兄，其它方面表現跟 AFS600/4 II 比較如何..？ 如 AF 速度、成像....

我比較關心500/4新加vr於手持時的兼容度和成像........如效果滿意會直接影響拍攝範圍........呢個就有一定成度的突破

May I be advised whether the PQ of the new VR lens is acceptable or not after adding TC17/TC20, please ?  

My experience with adding TC17 to AFS 300/4 is still acceptable, whereas it is not for the AFS 500/4 II lens.  If the PQ of the new VR lens remains acceptable after adding TC17/TC20, I may consider upgrading my AFS 500/4 to its VR version.  Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.  Sorry, I dare not ask you to conduct a complicated test, just wish to know whether you feel comfortable to add TC17/TC20 to the new VR lens or not.  Anyway, your statement "...我用了三四次的感覺係E一代...一定係質數最高..." has answered my question already.  Thanks a lot.

TC14/TC17/TC20 all have VR 14&17 is good 20 no good

好想知新鏡VR版和上一代AFS II 版兩代影像質數和速度有冇太大的差別呢...........????

My experience with the 500/4 VR is quite good.   I can handheld it down to about 1/200 sec.  

On the other hand I found it very difficult to get a sharp photo handhelding the Sigma 500/4.5, even at much higher speed.
